The Truth and Service Classic is not just a football game; it is a celebration of the rich history and enduring legacy of Howard University and Hampton University. Founded in 1867 and 1868 respectively, these esteemed historically black colleges have shaped countless lives and left an indelible mark on our nation.

I was tapped by the Howard University Department of Athletics football administrative team to design media passes for the Truth and Service Classic. In my approach to this project, my thought was for anyone who were to see this media pass to feel as if they were experiencing an in game moment. With that in mind, I also wanted to depict a "Clash of the Titans" energy around the design.  Once I made my selections out of the range of action shots provided by both Howard and Harvard, I color graded and masked each individual player from their background using photoshop. After searching for the right stadium shots of Audi Field, I layered a shot of the stands with a cropped close up of the 50yd line to intensify the suggestive idea of division between teams. Paired with the layering of textures and lighting effects, I was able to commemorate this Classic game while communicating the different types of passes using the colors provided by athletics.
